IBD has a car charger under development recently. The front-line intelligence personnel of charging head network sneaked into IBD and finally brought back samples.

1、 Appearance

The main structure of the charger is made of colloidal material. The surface of the charger is very smooth with a frosted aluminum frame on the tail.

In turn, you can see the information of the engraved name plate on the aluminum alloy, which is enlarged in the following figure.

Product Name: rocker ex, model: au48u, input: 12v-24v, output: 3.6-6.5v = 3a6.5v-9v = 2a9-12v = 1.5A, type cpd output: 5V = 3a9v = 2a15v = 2a20v = 1.5A, maximum output power: 48W.

Au48u is equipped with dual output ports. One is a conventional type-A jack, which supports QC protocol. The other is the type-C jack, which supports PD protocol.

2、 Dismantling

The car top cover adopts ultrasonic welding method to close the cover. The bottom edge of the top cover can be seen with ultrasonic welding trace. The welding firmness is general and the cover can be opened without damage.

After removing the cover, the aluminum alloy casing can be pulled out, and the remaining parts are the main shell part.

The positive copper bar of PCB in the shell extends out of the through hole, and then is welded to the copper electrode piece outside the shell.

The top solid copper cap has a spring under it to provide elastic support. But because the spring is made of iron, if the large current passes through the spring, the iron spring will turn into resistance wire and turn red due to its high resistance.

This is after insertion, the solid copper cap and the copper pole piece directly contact and grasp together, so as to bypass the iron spring, even through the high current, there will be no safety hazard.

3、 Summary
