The chip supports the new generation control chip of usb3.1 Gen2 superspeed +. Compared with the existing USB3.0 products, the transmission rate is increased by 2.4 times.

Compared with the popular USB 3.0 products which only provide USB data receiving and transmitting functions, the rts5400 has built-in type-C power delivery control unit, and integrates high speed muxs and low speed muxs into the chip, thus reducing the system BOM cost. Therefore, both the upstream and downstream ports of the chip can support the type-C connector and power delivery control function. It is easy to design a USB 3.1 type-C product that supports the full functions of the USB 3.1 type-C upstream and downstream ports.

In addition, Realtek rts5400 is packaged in QFN 8mmx8mm, and the peripheral devices are simple, which can greatly shorten the development time and easily design small and exquisite products. In addition, rts5400 conforms to the latest specifications of current type-C, and supports various functions of usb3.1 Gen2, making it easy for developers to design and save development costs, and help customers create more exquisite, compact and differentiated products.
